“broad and layered approach to sustainability”
Sustainability is about attention —
like giving care to your partner.
It’s basic.
The One Step Matters – Sunstare collection was born out of a conscious decision to act.
Not as a response to a trend, but from an understanding that the choices we make are present in both material and space.
Developed through a collaboration between Tzemer × Shira Moyal, the collection establishes a language that connects research, material, and everyday life—one that seeks to expand the notion of sustainability beyond the question of material alone, toward cultural and conceptual responsibility.
The collaboration brings ideas to life through material. As an integral part of every design project we pursue, we work with natural materials such as goat wool and silk, alongside additional materials sourced locally.
These materials undergo processes of hand refinement and transformation, and are woven into rugs that honor tradition, craftsmanship, and a contemporary design language.

“My engagement with landscape architecture in recent years has deepened and demanded a more profound consideration of sustainability, recycling, and material responsibility—and the integration of these values as an inseparable part of my creative process.”
Alongside the traditional materials used in our rug production, the brand continuously explores the potential of recycled and regenerated fibers, creating pieces that balance tradition, materiality, and sustainability.

The rug series, titled One Step Matters – Sunstare, combines traditional materials with recycled and regenerated fibers. Industrial nylon waste and discarded fishing nets undergo processes of purification and renewal, transforming into threads used to create contemporary rugs.
Alongside its cultural dimension, the collection is handmade using a blend that includes 80% natural wool, and is offered in two core designs across a wide range of color palettes. Several rugs are already entering serial production and will be available for purchase through the Tzemer × Shira Moyal brand website.
