The Core Collection

The collection does not seek to produce
functional or purely “useful” value, but rather to serve as a
multi-layered platform one that
may not be visible to the eye, yet is registered within the soul.

The Sun Stare collection was born from a prolonged observation of the relationship between nature, culture, and material. The sun and the moon do not appear here as literal images, but as principles that guide the design process: center, movement, repetition, and cyclicality. The engagement with ancient forms is not an attempt to recreate the past, but an understanding that these forms carry accumulated knowledge — ancient knowledge that continues to operate within contemporary space. Through these principles, I developed a minimal formal language that seeks
to create order, rhythm, and quiet within living, evolving environments. The rugs in the collection function as an active surface — one that absorbs light, movement, and touch, and changes throughout the day and over time. The textile allows light and shadow to register upon it, creating a presence that is felt in the body no less than it is seen by the eye.
